Ramain, Philippines

BRIEF HISTORY: One of the 15 states created by the Maranaos in the 18th and 19th centuries. Today in the Pangampong (Principality) of Bayabayo in the Lanao del Sur Province of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) of The Philippines, on the Mindanao island, belonging to the confederation of the Sultans of Lanao or Ranao (Pat a Pangampong a Ranao or Pat a Pong Ampong a Ranao or Pata Pengampong ko Ranao), created in 1640 and one of the 16 ruling royal sultanates (Panoroganan) today  recognised by the Philippines government.
