Siak Sri Inderapura, Indonesia

BRIEF HISTORY: A 25,000 people 16,224 km² state in East Sumatra (Sumatera Timur), founded in 1716. The capital cities were Buantan from 1716 till 1746, Mempawa from 1746 till 1760, Senapelan (today
Pekanbaru) from 1761 till 1779 and Siak Sri Inderapura from 1779 until 1889 and Pekanbaru since 1889. The installation of the Sultan has been recently authorized by the government of the Republic of
Indonesia. Also spelled Siak Sri Indrapoera.
